Sugar Skull Halloween Card

The free design in the Silhouette Design Store this week (Sugar Skull) made an easy Halloween card to send to my daughter. I adhered it to orange paper and added two strips of black rick rack glitter tape.

Halloween Flying Easel Card

I saw Karen Burniston’s beautiful Halloween Flying Easel Card on Pinterest and was inspired to try to make a flying easel card using my Silhouette Cameo.  I used the free template on Karen’s blog for the Hanging 3D Ghost.  The 3D ghost was easy to assemble and looks really cute.  As Karen suggested, the ghost on the bottom makes a great stopper to hold up the easel. The picture on the left shows the card folded up to place into an envelope.

The papers I used were “Pumpkin Patch” and “Spider Webs” from Pebbles – Thirty One Collection.  The shapes used from the Silhouette Design Store were “stacked pumpkins” and “boo to you.”

I have been making Halloween treat boxes using my Silhouette Cameo and the Creepy Crawlers Trio pattern from My Scrap Chick. The paper is from the graphic45 Steampunk Spells Collection. The web was colored with Tim Holz Distress Stain “Wild Honey” and the spider was decorated with Tim Holz Distress Stickles. I plan to fill the boxes with candy and other treats and give to friends and two college students that I mentor.
